I urge the provincial gov not to follow through with the proposal for removal of the bike lanes on Bloor St., Yonge St., and University Ave. in the City of Toronto and to return them to a lane of traffic. Bike lanes are good for local businesses, good for the environment, safer for pedestrians and cyclists. If the goal is reducing gridlock, the province could instead focus on improving / incentivizing transit so people don’t need to drive for thier commutes and incentivizing e-bike/ e-scooter use (like other provinces).
