We need a management system that will rebuild our moose population.

Why do we issue so many cow tags? Why is it legal to harvest a cow with a calf? It's absolutely criminal!!! I know this is next to impossible to enforce but making this an injustice would make folks think twice before pulling the trigger on a cow that has a calf.

Why are we proposing left over tags for a third round application? I know why... but why are we doing it? Is it because we're finally taking our part in conservation?

I personally haven't hunted moose in 2 years and have no issues with this. Whoever does either doesn't understand conservation or is upset with the fact that outfitters still benefit from tags during our moose population decline. Populations are declining and we're living in the moment instead of thinking about the future.

Outfitters in the NW and NE seem to have issues every year with non residents killing the wrong sexe and in some cases the wrong species (caribou)... go figure!!. I can understand that harvesting the wrong sexe also occurs with residents but look at the stats and compare how many resident infractions vs non-resident infractions when it comes to harvesting the wrong sexe.

We have a moose decline but we are still giving tags to outfitters for them to profit $$$ and for non-residents to come and get their trophy.
