The present system is too punitive and ineffective when it concerns moose hunting. I am 70 yrs old with ten points meaning I may be able to harvest one moose (if i'm lucky) in the rest of my lifetime. I have hunted moose for many years and now these restrictive MNR policies which do not favor the moose population will probably prevent me from hunting moose ever again (unless I have the means to hire an outfitter or hunt in Quebec $$$.
Could we not look at the Quebec system where they alternate the gender of available moose to be harvested.
Also you need to balance the native harvest with Ontario resident to make it more efficient. Why not have four tags per moose ?
As an Ontario resident I am prevented from enjoying the outdoors because of an incompetent MNR !!!
Ther is no reason to have multiple draws which I agree defeats the purpose of any system
