As a 72 year old avid cyclist I know very well how important all the cycle lanes in Toronto are having seen the evolution of them. The safety they provide to cyclists is essential and without them there will be a reduction in cycling, therefore an increase in traffic congestion and more fatalities and ruined lives. The province would be wise to focus its attention on the ten year delayed Eglinton LRT if it is serious about reducing congestion. Please reconsider removing any lanes from the developing Toronto grid!
