This bill will not reduce gridlock.
Removing bikes lanes does not make bicycles cease to exist - it just puts bicycles in lanes with cars which is not only extremely dangerous for cyclists but frustrating to drivers.
Bike lanes work. Having the ability safely cycle to and from destinations increases the use of bicycles and therefore there are less people in cars.
Food and courier services rely heavily on cycling and without proper bike lanes, all of those services will be in a lane with cars, increasing traffic and confusion.
This bill is a ploy to make drivers believe that they will experience less gridlock while not solving the issue and wasting funds.
