Dear Mr. Ford,
I am here to offer my strong oppositon to creating bike lanes southbound on Parkside. This is insane, and I am a cyclist, but I am also a motorist who uses this vital corridor to get to Lakeshore and QEW/Gardiner.
Please, do what you say you are going to do and do not let the city remove a land of traffic southbound on Parkside.
I find it highly unlikely that a cyclist would go southbound on Parkside and drive straight into the lake.
Are they going east? Well they can go to Dundas/Roncesvalles. They have bike lanes there, which I use myself to go see shows at Budweiser Stage. You cross a little bridge and end up on the Martin Goodman trail and carry on your merry way. Easy Peasy.
Are they going west? Then why not go through beautiful High Park/Colbourne Lodge? You even have the option to take a path towards Parkside at the Queensway.
Approving the removal of southbound lanes on Parkside is the most insane thing ever, especially when there are bike paths easily accessible to east and the west. STOP THE MADNESS!!!!! DON'T LET THE CITY GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!!
