I moved to Hamilton in 2021…

I moved to Hamilton in 2021 and have watched the former Jamesville townhouses deteriorate while our city desperately needs more affordable housing. It's a shame that CN has had the power to block development of the site for so many years, taking away the city's agency while so many unhoused residents and families would benefit from the redevelopment of this space.
I urge the province to interfere and move forward with rezoning of this land. Hamilton is behind of the project and the desire of city residents should prevail, especially at a time that we need more jobs and new homes in Ontario.
