It is pitiful and disgusting to even think aggregate pits should be considered to become a dumping ground for what may be contaminated soil or other construction waste. Developers should be dealing with the results of their work on their own and not by destroying lands meant to ultimately be natural wildlife habitats.
Aggregate lands have already served their purposes for the economic profits of the corporations. As required by MNR, these pits are to be rehabilitated to give back to the natural environment which was for many years, pillaged.
Leave the lands alone. Do not allow them to become a dumping ground for more greed. The lands must be retained as protected wildlife habitats.
