We cannot simply remove parts of the provincial parks easily like this, Ontario is already having less and less park spaces due to various commercial activities like this. This would not increase tourism, would only make the space less attractive to tourists over the years.
Wasaga Beach Provincial Park isn’t just a summer destination, it’s one of the last remaining nesting grounds for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. These tiny shorebirds have made a fragile comeback since 2007, thanks to years of careful stewardship and protection.
