Wasaga Beach Provincial Park isn’t just a summer destination, it’s one of the last remaining nesting grounds for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. These tiny shorebirds have made a fragile comeback since 2007, thanks to years of careful stewardship and protection.
Now, all that is at risk because of Doug Ford repealed critical protection through the Endangered Species Act when he rammed Bill 5 through the legislature.
