If the provincial park is in…

If the provincial park is in need of repair, then the funds that the government gave to the town should have just been given to the park instead. It should not be allowed to transfer parts of PUBLIC provincial parks to anyone. This precedent means that none of our park land is safe as it was designated to be. This shows a huge breach of trust from the public to the government.

The nesting habitat and natural integrity of the beach is the main priority of the people. To mitigate flooding, filter water, and reduce effects of climate change it is imperative we keep these natural spaces function as they have been long before we got here.

To groom the beach is a to create ecological dead zones that will leave beach goers haunted by the absence of life. I strongly urge the land stay as parkland with the money invested to improve existing infrastructure. Our parks are not meant to be profit turning machines, but slices of nature that allow people to connect to them.
