The lake--aftermath of the gravel extraction--should be rehabilitated rather than stuffed full of excavated dirt from construction sites. The dirt itself is not monitored for ideal quality, and almost certainly will affect the water table and nearby wells of Caledon Village. The proposal is a blight on the much-threatened Greenbelt. Caledon is evolving from a woodland and farmland natural reserve into a vast multi-pothole. We should be creating parklands for urban millions to visit rather than wastelands for developments to dump their waste. Please stop it.
