The Town of Wasaga Beach has already shown their ignorance of the natural environment and the preservation of natural habitat by selling prime environmentally significant properties to developers for hotels and homes. They should not be entrusted with further public lands which could be sold to developers at the whim of Council.
Provincial Parks were created for all Ontarians to enjoy the natural habitat and for long term enhancement of the environmental features.
The Town of Wasaga beach could have embarked on creating an environmental gem along the World's Longest Freshwater Beach by reestablishing the dunes and creating environmentally significant public spaces along the waterfront instead of selling out to developers and allowing hotel and residential development at the waters edge.
Wasaga Beach Council should be ashamed of their decisions!
Stop this Premier Ford!
