I would like to address the specific needs for cycling infrastructure in Burlington.
In my opinion the dissection of Burlington by QEW, 403, 407 and 2 busy rail corridors makes for dangerous cycling conditions. It is impossible to get across town without having to cross on/off ramps to major highways.. we need bridges( or more creative and economical --trails beside rails) connecting North and South Burlington as well as Aldershot and Downtown.
Addressing this issue is in my opinion, should be the #1 priority for Burlington as well as many other comunities on the Go transit / QEW corridor
There is opportunity ( as in empty green space available) to create off road cycling infrastructure that totally enhance the cycling experience in our city!
