The Ontario government SHOULD NOT pass this! Limiting the protection of species to a specific area is dangerous as wildlife impacts pour into multiple areas and what happens in one area will impact another! The Ontario government should be protecting all the species listed federally, they should not be picking and choosing.
This is a critical issue to me as I work in the environmental sector, and enjoy spending time outdoors. I am a birder and the thought of not protecting these CRITICAL species is appalling.
Do better, do NOT support this!! We should all be coming together to protect the environment in the midst of the climate crisis.
