This government has already reduced the powers of Conservation local authorities. The breadth of their oversight must be reinstated. I do not see how reducing the number of authority areas will yield better protection of the environment. I am suspicious of this change and do NOT support it. During this time of increasing effects of the climate crisis we need MORE regulations and protections of our waters and especially our wetlands. Please do not proceed with this revision. Please consult with professional environmental groups such as Environmental Defense for what we should be doing.
