This entire plan is unnecessary and harmful. The entire reason for the Conservation Authorities is that ecological research and management is best organized based along watershed boundaries as those naturally define divisions of concern when it comes to water management, land stewardship and risk assessment and mitigation from climate impacts.

Please scrap this entire idea. We need neither consolidated authoritarian control outside of the expertise developed in the local authorities, nor politics again running roughshod over communities and ecology for the gratification of a overreaching Premier's donors and cronies.
