STOP Bill 60 from becoming law. The province is rushing Bill 60, by bypassing committees and shutting down public debate. This approach is a deliberate strategy of flooding the zone to distract and confuse in the hopes that real debate and opposition is drowned out.

Bill 60 is an escalation of Bill 212’s attack on evidence based decision making that would prohibit any municipality in Ontario from reducing motor vehicle lanes to build new bike lanes.

Planned cycling projects like Parkside Drive, Dupont Street, and the Danforth Avenue extension won't be possible if Bill 60 becomes law.

And the wording is so broad that it could block bus priority lanes, patios and cafes, school streets, and other street improvements that rely on reallocating space from cars to people. This is absurd and an illustration of how poorly this legislation was thought out.

Bike lanes are an essential component of city's SAFE transportation infrastructure. Please do not support Bill 60. We need more bike lanes, not less.
