This proposal is so poorly conceived and executed that it would be laughable, were its authors not sincere in their goal of disempowering municipalities and disrupting public commentary/input on local projects. Changes in municipal transit planning should be driven by data and implemented only after review and study. This proposal seems to eschew logic and evidence in favour of feeling and frustration. The changes proposed will not engender the remedies imagined. This proposal will do nothing but waste taxpayer monies and disrupt local communities. The only reason I can see for forwarding it to a vote, as someone who opposes it, is that if it doesn't die in committee it will certainly fail basic judicial scrutiny. Why waste our time and money on such ill-conceived clickbait? Please withdraw this proposal.
