It is upsetting to read that our 36 Conservation Authorities will be reduced to 6. Each authority is important as each area is unique. The authorities have already faced staff reductions and budget cuts. Enough is enough. The provincial government obviously doesn’t care about the natural environment nor water quality and flood warning systems. Living in a rural area that has beautiful conservation areas is important to health and well-being of people and wildlife. When these areas are reduced or gone we will never get them back. We also appreciate our local conservation authority and neighbouring authorities for flood and low-water warning systems. Rethink this faulty idea to reduce conservation authorities. The government has no idea how important each one is for our well-being.
