At a time when we're seeing more and more flooding, more unpredictable weather, and increasing insurance premiums I'm shocked that the government would consider consolidating and effectively wiping out decades of local expertise on natural hazards. This will put more people at risk, both financially and physically. I am firmly opposed to this proposal, we do not need more political appointees managing local affairs. Leave conservation to the people with the most knowledge of their own communities.
