The proposed amalgamation of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority (LRCA) with southern Ontario authorities is ill-conceived and will worsen services to Thunder Bay and area residents.
LRCA staff are extremely efficient at processing permits and their knowledge of their watersheds and land base is deep. Consolidation of LRCA with Lake Huron couldn't conceivably help home owners planning to build near a floodplain, concerned about flooding, or interested on shoreline restoration.
Please reconsider the proposed boundary changes.
