Reducing the conservation authorities to 7 from the 36 that exist today is detrimental to the environment. We all know your real agenda is to make it easier to destroy critical ecosystems to keep your friends rich, even though you claim it is to make things “more efficient”. Local knowledge of the environment is key to understand how to manage the land most beneficially and make the best decisions, and your plans will rid the province of this important information. Combining the conservation authorities in northern and southern Ontario is a horrible idea, since these environments are thousands of kilometres apart and are vastly different. They cannot be managed by a single entity. Please leave the system the way it is, it’s like that for a reason.
