I am a born Canadian citizen and constituent of South Stormont, under the purview of the Raisin Region Conservation Authority. The idea of further amalgamation of anything under the province's jurisdiction is asinine, and I wholeheartedly reject the notion. Amalgamation of the cities in 2000 should never have taken place, and the abuse of rural regions has resulted. Similarly, abuse of regions without fair representation is inevitable and water conservation, after a drought-filled summer, is nothing to play games with for cheap political points.
Regional consolidation of conservation authorities must not be allowed to happen.
