I think this is a reckless decision. It's another example of non-local officials making decisions for local matters. These proposed boundaries are far too large and in no way will actually benefit any parties. Currently, authorities have a strong understanding of their areas. By changing the boundaries so significantly, we will lose the expertise of locals that has taken generations to learn.
I'm saddened to see proof that conserving our ecosystems, watersheds and lands - wholly unique and what makes Canada and Ontario such a beautiful place - does not matter anymore.
