Since when has Ontario successfully amalgamated something? Do you want to turn conservation land into another Toronto? Ontario is the 2nd largest province in Canada, and 4th largest of all the provinces and territories. Do you truly believe 7 people can fully protect and provide for it fairly, thoroughly, and comprehensively? If so, why not reduce Parliament to 7 people? As someone who works with conservation authorities a lot for work, and has WORKED for conservation authorities in the past, they are stretched thin enough as it is. They need more resources, not less.
This seems like a decision we'd see made across the border. Which should tell you it's the wrong choice.
