It is obvious that the government is proposing this for one reason - the ability to control the conservation authorities through the reduction of the number of authorities so that the government can get what they want to develop. That was obvious when the Premier went after the Green Belt. If this moves forward, the government will have their hands in the cookie jar - taking what they want, when they want. We can’t get enough green space yet this administration's hell bent attitude against keeping nature is just not good for the future generations. It reminds me of Joni Mitchell’s song Big Yellow Taxi, “They paved paradise and put up a parking lot”. Shame on Doug Ford, shame on the Provincial Conservatives for even considering this ridiculous proposal!
