I oppose the proposed consolidation of Ontario’s conservation authorities. This it not a practical means of streamlining watershed management. The consolidation of conservation authorities does not take in to account the vastly different ecosystems and needs or each region, and also does not consider the place based knowledge and experience of conservation authority staff. This knowledge and management is specifically and unique in each watershed, and cannot follow a “one size fits all” method of management.
