I am incredibly unhappy with the Province’s decision to override the Town of Oakville’s wishes for the development of the lands at Trafalgar Road and Cross Avenue. We elect our town council because they adhere to the wishes of the residents. You, by overriding them, are not adhering to our wishes. This process is extremely underhanded and reeks of corruption with the developer that will benefit. How ironic that he attended Doug Ford’s daughter’s wedding and is considered a ‘friend’ of the family. The Conservative Government should think long and hard about their voter base. We have long memories. This decision must be rescinded. If not, the Conservative government will not have my future vote. I will also spread the word to all my Oakville friends on the outcome.
