The HCA is not in agreement with this absurd merger proposal and neither are we. Conservation authorities are in tune with the needs of the area which requires knowledge of local concerns regarding geography, waterways, floodplains and wildlife.
In the process of searching for ways to conserve funds, creating roadblocks for conservation authorities is not efficient and is, in fact, the opposite. Merging communities in order to save money hasn't worked so why on earth would this bizarre proposal?
