Oakville’s OPA 70, unanimously adopted by council and the mayor, reflects a viable livable proposed community located adjacent and at the GO Station. The province’s proposed MZOs significantly exceed OPA 70 urban planning densities. The proposed MZO densities have been compared to Hong Kong’s significant densities. These MZOs are not realistic, not practical, and are unacceptable in Oakville. These MZOs densities will create a congested unlivable environment with a highly probable negative social environment for families.
