I have lived in Niagara for nearly all of my life, and I do not support our conservation authority being amalgamated with areas of the GTA. It may reduce administrative costs, but with such a large area to oversee, my concern is that it will also lead to administrative oversight.

Given differences in population, infrastructure, etc, I cannot imagine that our local interests will align with that of the GTA. We are a distinct region with very different needs, and therefore conservation authority should remain local.
