I don't believe this is in the best interest of Ontario lands. The current setup is excellent. I strongly agree with the remarks given by the Hamilton Conservation Authority. There is mention in the government document about planning permissions etc., which is why I consider this an attempt to devalue the precious lands that are managed by the local conservation authority. This is reminiscent of the attempt to remove land from the green belt and the way the Niagara Escarpment Commission has had it's important duties reduced.
This appears to be another case of the Conservative government helping property developers.
