Narrowing the conservation authorities seems like an awful idea because it lacks strategic foresight. There are multiple types of natural landscapes, farmlands and wildlife that require oversight and more attention, not less. Winnowing down these authorities could also lead to a lack of jobs and expertise when we need to be focusing and planning for environmental troubles.
