It’s hard to wrap one’s mind around the notion that splitting up one management area into a region separated by LAKE SUPERIOR, and another in NE Ontario separated into 3 widely spaced units makes any kind of management sense. The southern Ontario management areas are all set up as homogeneous geographic zones. At the very least the more isolated Thunder Bay and Sault Ste Marie Authorities should retain their independent status to allow for more efficient and knowledgeable management of these areas.
