The party in power should remove these 4 MZOs . The Town of Oakville under the Municipal Act was determined by the Legislature in 2001 to be that "municipalities are created by the Province of Ontario to be responsible and accountable governments with respect to matters within their jurisdiction" "each municipality is given powers and duties under this this Act and many other Acts for the purpose of providing good government with respect to those matters" Sec 2.

How can the Town Plan for it citizens through its elected representatives on its council and its professional staff it the Party in power overrides its decision without due process?

This is a travesty. A misuse to Provincial power exercised solely for political purposes. The errors of this decision especially given the density and lack of adequate services on the existing population of Oakville.
The developer paybacks must stop now. Ratepayer had rights until Ford took them away . Only the Integrity commissioner has spoken about the misuse of MZO and this was prior to thes 4 MZOS which benefit on the developers and the politicians.

Now is the time to stop this misuse under the guise of Transportation Hub. Only the experts and the the council should be making planning decisions about Mid Town Planning. The politicians of the party in power engaged in this exercise are in a conflict of interest and should not not approve it .
