The Minister's Zoning Orders take the decision making powers out of the hands of the Town of Oakville.
This is a grave mistake. Our mayor and Town Councillors are very well informed about the characteristics unique to our town and how we function. We need to make decisions at the Town level.
Taking this process out of our hands is regressive and we become subject to generic solutions forced upon us by the Province of Ontario. Our growth shall be determined by elected officials from Oakville.
We are not interested in high speed growth nor mega density growth.
We need to continue the democratic process that has made this town a very effective and beautiful community.!
