I can understand the need for having Municipal Zoning Orders so the province can deal with municipalities that are behind in decisions or are neglecting to make decisions.
However, with the Transit Oriented Community (TOC) to be located in Midtown Oakville, the Town of Oakville and their planning department have already created an Official Plan Amendment (OPA 70) that more than meets the provinces requirements for housing, works out the infrastructure and is municipally accepted. With OPA 70 shovels will be in the ground and housing will be completed sooner. Please consider the Town of Oakville’s OPA 70 and do not invoke a Ministerial Zoning Orders.
Thank you.
