The current terms of the lease extension are discrimatory against various groups in this cottage community - older people, single people, financially-challenged and terminally ill people. I think that the cottagers should be allowed to transfer ownership to children or spouses. In the case of illness or job-loss, cottage owners should have the option to sell in order to maintain personal financial stability.
