The Eastern Fields proposal includes several turbines with a receptor setback in the 550 meter
range.
According to the information provided the proposed turbines emit either 104dBa or 105dBa, depending
on operating mode.
Based on the regulations for setback in force at the time of the proposal (section 2.3), the above
noise levels require a minimum setback of 600 meters and 850 meters respectively.
The regulations can also be interpreted to require a minimum setback for all turbines of 850
meters.
Regardless of the setback used (600 or 850 meters), all currently proposed turbines less than 600
meters (for 104 dBa units), and 850 meters (for 105dBa units) must be re-sited to comply with the
regulations, this covers some 6 to 8 turbines in the proposal.
