The Eastern Fields Bird and Bat study is significantly deficient. It significantly ignores the fact that the project is centred on one of two major migratory flyways in North America. It also ignores the fact that the project area is a known rest and gathering area for migratory birds. This means that the accounting of species and risk to birds is far lower than the actuality. This could have been rectified by a full and inclusive engagement of local and international bird watchers who either live in the area or visit at various times of the year. This did not occur. This failure means that the information on species, habitat usage and population density is flawed. As such the conclusions presented are in significant error.
