Please do not change the Ontario Heritage Act with Bill 108. The current act works. I cannot understand the need or want, to amend this bill and take away the authority of local municipalities and heritage committees to decide what is important to their communities. How can a group of people (LPAT) with no heritage experience or invested interest in any community, understand the importance of their local heritage buildings. I'm sure the government has more important charges to look into besides the Heritage Act.
