We go to Point Pelee many times during the year, and this is exactly what is displayed at the visitor centre, that in order to maintain the park as a true natural reserve, it was necessary to eliminate the cottages.
The leases at Rondeau are to end in 2017, therefore, the cottagers have more than 6 years to look for a different place to live at, not to own, but to lease or rent, as they do now. I think we owe it to our national and provintial parks to protect them and respect them, otherwise, leases and concessions may spread again as it did in the past.
