Dear Mr. Feilders,
I object to the MNR giving the cottagers at Rondeau Park another 28 years interfering with the natural habitat of the Park.
The intention of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, is to preserve the wild spaces of such habitats. Rondeau is of unique importance because of the Carolinian species that survive there.
The leaseholders knew that they would have to leave in 2017. They are aware that they had acquired access to this land in past times when there was still spaces available for wildlife. Now there is so little land remaining undeveloped by humans that our Parks are more important than ever. Canadians want to conserve what remains for wildlife.
Terminate the leases in 2017 as agreed.
