A decision has been made in 1986 to terminate the leases in 2017 and clearly communicated to the cottagers in Rondeau Park. They have had plenty of time to prepare...and they still have 7 years !!!! to make their plans.
the ministry of Natural Resources mandate is to protect the natural resources and the ecological integrity and NOT Protecting the privileges of a few people.
Rondeau is a very unique place and should be protected at all costs, including enforcing tough decisions not postponing them. There is already too much development in the area.
NO MORE LEASES IN PROVINCIAL PARKS !
