I strongly object to further extension of the leases in Rondeau Provincial Park. I object primarily on the following basis: We should not have cottager rights or other private rights (except to provide public services) within provincial parks, especially small parks like Rondeau in areas like Carolinean Canada where there is so little protected land. I object also on the following basis: In some parks, like Algonquin, some leaseholders have been forced in the past to abandon once their leases have run out and it is unfair to treat leaseholders differently. The government should have one policy: no cottage leaseholds in provincial parks.
