What is the point of having a 'greenbelt' if all the government wants to do is pave it over? I think it's reprehensible that this Bill 23 allows developers to bypass all the environmental regulations that have been put in place to protect this space limited though they may be. In this age of climate change, surely we have to protect those watersheds which allow Toronto to thrive. More and more scientific evidence proves that constant urbanization is detrimental to the health of our natural surroundings upon which we depend.
Please reconsider repealing this bill and rethinking this approach which plays into the hands of corporate interests at the expense of the common good and the health of our local environment.
