I writing to request that you approve the Region of Waterloo's Official Plan Amendment 6.

My reasons include:

We must respect the citizens of Waterloo and the two year process of engagement of all stakeholders ending in the approval of this Amendment.

The Amendment avoids urban sprawl into our countryside which will destroy local farms.

It will encourage the development of "15 minute" communities and include the "missing middle" in housing.

The amendment will create far more housing than the Province demands and housing which is affordable.

Finally, this approach to development recognizes climate change and respects the environment.
