This newly proposed regulation, ERO number: 019-8320, appears to be a misguided attempt to strip conservation authorities of their power and hand it over to a politician. In order to for them to make decisions in the interest of their own political fortunes or that of their party.

I think it makes the granting of permits a political matter instead of a non-partisan decision that rightfully should be made in the best interest of the environment and for the health and safety of Ontarians. I am personally opposed to these changes.
