Leave the conservation authorities alone so that they can get on with their job of protecting the people of Ontario against natural hazards and flooding. They are the trained professionals in this area - sorry - but the minister is not. they are the ones with "boots on the ground" so to speak not just someone in a political office. They have to "face the music" if something goes wrong such as an unmitigated flood. Let them do their job and keep politics out of it. Who, in the government will be responsible if there is a flood or other natural disaster and lives are lost if the conservation authorities procedures are ignored or overridden? Let them do their jobs. Their job is to mitigate these situations. Leave it to them and don't interfere.
